These Scars is the first single installment to Johanna So's debut album JoSö World. This song is a reflection on the human experience of acquiring and owning the scars of life. This pop-like, orchestral piece grabs the listener with its many layers of compelling strings and soaring choral-style vocals. Sö’s performance on lead vocals and violin is exceptionally complimented by the work of Hugh McMillan (bass), Terence Clark (drums), Cara Fox (cello), and Isabelle Dunlop (background vocals).
